Polaroid photo album: Polaroid Now Gen 3 and Instax Mini 12

Polaroid’s own Photo Album holds 160 i-Type, 600 or SX-70 prints for $22.99. Go, Instax Mini and Square need smaller pockets; Wide uses the same size sideways.

Which album fits your film

A wrong-size pocket is the most common mistake. Check the pocket size in the listing against your print before you buy.

Film Print size Pocket to look for Picks below that fit
Polaroid i-Type, 600, SX-70 88 x 107 mm (3.5 x 4.2 in) “3.5 x 4.25 in” or “i-Type/600/SX-70” Polaroid Photo Album, Polaroid Coffee Table album, Veicevol 256
Polaroid Go 54 x 67 mm (2.1 x 2.6 in) “Polaroid Go” Polaroid Go Pocket Photo Album
Instax Mini 54 x 86 mm (2.1 x 3.4 in) “2 x 3 in” or “Instax Mini” Veicevol 432, Ruibytree 52
Instax Square 72 x 86 mm (2.8 x 3.4 in) “Instax Square” or “3.4 x 2.8 in” Rekeen 288
Instax Wide 108 x 86 mm (4.3 x 3.4 in) “Instax Wide”, or “3.5 x 4.25 in” with the print turned sideways Veicevol 160, Veicevol 256

Print sizes are from Polaroid’s support site and Fujifilm’s film pages. Our instant film sizes page has the exact figures for each format, in mm and inches.

Polaroid’s albums say they are not compatible with Polaroid Go prints.

Best for Polaroid i-Type, 600 and SX-70: Polaroid Photo Album

Polaroid’s Photo Album Large holds 160 photos, four to a page, according to polaroid.com. It measures 213 x 243 mm (8.4 x 9.5 in), and the black version is PU laminated over greyboard. It was $22.99 at polaroid.com at the October 2026 check, rated 4.6 from 146 reviews in Google Shopping.

The same album was $22.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.7 from about 3,300 ratings. The Amazon listing gives a different capacity: it says 120 photos, and it disagrees with itself on how many photos go on each page. We quote Polaroid’s own figure of 160.

Polaroid also lists it on a second page, “Photo Album”, with the same capacity and size. That page calls it the new Large Photo Album and says it has a square window on the front cover for one print. i-Type and 600 prints are the same size, so this album takes both: see Polaroid i-Type vs 600 film for what does differ.

Smaller option: Polaroid’s Photo Album Small stores up to 40 prints, one per page, and measures 118 x 126 mm. It was $14.99 at polaroid.com at the October 2026 check.

Cheaper option: Fintie’s 64-pocket album for 3.5 x 4.25 in Polaroid film was $11.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.7 from about 1,400 ratings. The listing says its inner pockets are PVC, which the National Archives says to avoid near photos (see the plastics advice below), so pick it for cheap everyday storage, not for keeping prints long term.

Most photos per shelf inch: Veicevol 256-pocket album

Veicevol’s large album has 256 pockets, four per page, for 3.5 x 4.25 in pictures. The listing names Polaroid 600 and i-Type, and also Instax Wide. It was $21.99 in black or $21.99 in brown on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.8 from about 870 ratings.

That is 96 more prints than Polaroid’s album for $1 less. The listing says “64 individual pages” with four photos per page, but its spec fields disagree: 48 pages on the brown version and 192 photos on the black one. It also says the album is acid-free but does not name the plastic used for the pockets.

Best gift or coffee table: Polaroid Coffee Table Photo Album

The Polaroid Coffee Table Photo Album holds 112 full-frame Polaroid pictures, which Polaroid says is 14 packs of film. It has a black linen cover and black coated 240 g ivory paper inside, and measures 265 x 227 x 50 mm. It was $34.99 at polaroid.com at the October 2026 check, rated 4.9 from 10 reviews in Google Shopping.

It takes i-Type, 600 and SX-70 prints only. Polaroid calls it a “simple slot-in design” and says the album and its box can be used separately to store more prints. The page does not say what the slots are made of.

Best for Polaroid Go: Polaroid Go Pocket Photo Album

Go prints are 54 x 67 mm, too small for a full-size Polaroid pocket. Polaroid’s Go Pocket Photo Album holds 36 Go photos. It measures 10 x 13 x 4 cm, with a canvas and poly-fleece cover and a metal clip. It was $17.99 at polaroid.com at the October 2026 check, rated 4.4 from 58 reviews in Google Shopping.

On Amazon it was on sale at $18.70 (list $21.99) at the October 2026 check, rated 4.5 from 69 ratings. For how Go prints compare with full-size ones, see Polaroid Go vs Polaroid Now.

Best for Instax Mini: Veicevol 432-pocket album

Veicevol’s Mini album has 432 pockets: 48 pages with nine photos on each page. The pockets load from the side, and the album measures 11.4 x 9.4 x 0.7 in. The listing says the pages are acid-free. It was $13.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, with an extra 8% coupon on offer, rated 4.8 from about 4,200 ratings.

The title says “for Polaroid & Instax Mini”, but the pockets are 2 x 3 in. “Polaroid” here means 2 x 3 in Polaroid Snap and Zink prints, not i-Type or 600 film. A full-size Polaroid print will not fit.

Small and cheap: Ruibytree’s 52-pocket Mini album for 2 x 3 in prints was $6.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.6 from about 1,400 ratings.

Best for Instax Square: Rekeen 288-pocket album

Square prints are 72 x 86 mm. They need Square pockets: in a Polaroid-size pocket (about 89 x 108 mm) a Square print has around 17 mm of spare width and 22 mm of spare height, so it will sit loose.

Rekeen’s Square album has 288 pockets for 3.4 x 2.8 in photos, eight to a sheet, and measures 8.9 x 8.9 x 0.9 in. The listing says the inner pockets are PP (polypropylene), one of the plastics the Library of Congress lists as safe for photos. It was $15.99 in blue or in black on Amazon at the October 2026 check, down from a $16.99 list price, rated 4.8 from 645 ratings.

Smaller option: WOGOZAN’s 64-pocket album for 2.9 x 3.4 in Instax Square prints was $9.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.6 from 282 ratings. The listing says its pages are clear PVC, so the same caution applies: fine for cheap everyday storage, not for keeping prints long term.

For help choosing between the three Instax sizes, see Instax Mini vs Square vs Wide.

Best for Instax Wide: Veicevol 160-pocket album

Veicevol’s 160-pocket album for 3.5 x 4.25 in pictures is sold for both Instax Wide and Polaroid 600 and i-Type. It has a plastic cover. It was $15.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.6 from 535 ratings.

One album suits both films because of the print sizes. A Wide print is 108 x 86 mm, so turned on its side it is 86 x 108 mm, close to a Polaroid print at 88 x 107 mm. Veicevol lists the same pocket for both, and so does its 256-pocket album above. Polaroid lists only its own film for its albums, so a Wide print in a Polaroid album is your call, not Polaroid’s advice.

Write-in and scrapbook albums

Writing space: Rseozr’s Instax Mini album with a writing space beside each pocket has 112 pockets, four to a page, and was $25.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.8 from 265 ratings. A 56-pocket version, two to a page, was $17.99. The listing says the pockets take prints from 2 x 3 in up to 2.1 x 3.4 in, which covers Instax Mini, and that the paper pages are acid-free. It does not name the pocket plastic. For ideas to fill the pages, see our Polaroid picture ideas.

Photo corners on plain pages: for a true scrapbook, use any blank album with acid-free pages and hold each print by its border with photo corners. A pack of 360 gold self-adhesive photo corners was $6.99 on Amazon at the October 2026 check, rated 4.7 from about 9,700 ratings. Corners work for every print size, and you can write captions straight on the page.

Skip “self-adhesive” or “magnetic” albums. Some of the best-selling scrapbook albums on Amazon have sticky self-adhesive pages. The Library of Congress says to avoid albums with coloured, magnetic or sticky self-adhesive pages.

Watch the word “Polaroid” in listings

Read the pocket size, not the title.

  • “2 x 3 in Polaroid” albums are Instax Mini size. The Veicevol 432 above, a 320-pocket “Album for Instax Mini & Polaroid 2x3” and a “Mini Polaroid Photo Album 208 Photos 2x3 Inch” all have pockets for Instax Mini and 2 x 3 in Zink prints. An i-Type print will not fit.
  • Store listings do it too. Two Walmart listings titled “for Polaroid” in Google’s shopping results for “polaroid photo album” are 64-pocket Instax Mini albums.
  • The reverse happens. An iFreak album titled “Polaroid Photo Album, 32 Pockets for Instax Square Film” lists its pockets as 3.5 x 4.25 in and says it fits Polaroid i-Type and 600 film. Those are Polaroid-size pockets. A Square print will sit loose in them.
  • Read the pocket plastic and size. The Ablus 128-pocket Mini album says its inner pockets are clear PVC, a plastic the National Archives says to avoid near photos. Its listed pocket is 2.2 x 3.3 in, and 3.3 in (84 mm) is shorter than a Mini print’s 86 mm. We have not measured one, but we left it off this list because the listed pocket is shorter than the print.

Keeping prints safe in an album

Wait 30 days with Polaroid prints. Polaroid says that for the first 30 days after exposure a print still holds chemicals that are not completely dry, and can change if stored badly. Dry new prints in a cool, well-ventilated place. Polaroid says classic plastic archival sleeves are not appropriate during that first month, and another Polaroid article says prints should not be compressed or sealed in a photo album for 30 days. After that, Polaroid says an album or archival sleeve is fine. All five album pages on polaroid.com repeat the advice.

Instax prints: Fujifilm says to keep developed prints away from direct sunlight, because UV can fade them, and to store them in a cool, dry place, perhaps in UV-protected frames or albums. We found no 30-day drying advice from Fujifilm.

Safe plastics: the Library of Congress says suitable plastic enclosures are uncoated polyester, polyethylene and polypropylene. The National Archives says not to use plastics that contain PVC. Many album listings do not name their pocket plastic. Among the listings we read, Rekeen says PP, and Ablus, Fintie and WOGOZAN say PVC.

“Acid-free” is a seller claim. The test that counts is the Photographic Activity Test (PAT), which the Library of Congress and National Archives both cite. None of the albums on this page mentions passing it.

Where to keep the album: the Library of Congress recommends a dry (30 to 50% relative humidity), cool (70°F or below) and stable place. Polaroid says dry, dark storage protected from UV is always best, and that its own staff use old shoe boxes.

FAQ

What is the best photo album for Polaroids?

For i-Type, 600 and SX-70 prints, Polaroid’s own Photo Album holds 160 prints, four to a page, according to polaroid.com. It was $22.99 at the October 2026 check. It does not take Polaroid Go prints.

Can you put Polaroids in a photo album?

Yes, after 30 days. Polaroid says new prints still hold chemicals that are drying, and should not go in plastic sleeves or a sealed album for the first month.

Will a Polaroid fit in a 4 x 6 album?

It goes in, but it sits loose. A Polaroid print is 3.5 x 4.2 in, so a 4 x 6 in pocket leaves room on every side. Albums with 3.5 x 4.25 in pockets hold it snugly.

What size are Instax photos?

Instax Mini prints are 54 x 86 mm, Square 72 x 86 mm and Wide 108 x 86 mm, according to Fujifilm’s film pages.

Do Instax Wide prints fit a Polaroid album?

Turned sideways, a Wide print (86 x 108 mm) is close in size to a Polaroid print (88 x 107 mm). Some albums, such as Veicevol’s, are sold for both. Polaroid lists only its own film for its albums.

What photo album holds 1,000 photos?

None of the instant-print albums on this page. The largest here are the Veicevol 432 for Instax Mini and the Veicevol 256 for full-size Polaroid prints.

Where can I buy Polaroid photo albums?

Polaroid sells its albums on polaroid.com, and the large album is also listed on Amazon.

Are plastic photo album sleeves safe?

Polypropylene, polyethylene and uncoated polyester are safe, according to the Library of Congress. The National Archives says to avoid PVC.
